Michael Infanger


Mike is the founder of Verena Solutions and generated the initial design for a variety of dental infection control products currently under development, including the flagship SimpleCAP system.  Prior to Verena, Mike worked in software development Red Prairie and engineering sales for Victaulic corporation with a focus on new product design and design efficiency.   Additionally Mike has spent some time in real estate investment with a focus on revitalizing Chicago-based properties.  Mike has a degree in Computer Engineering from Marquette University and enjoys home brewing , home design/construction and ranting about movie reboots.

Dr. Kathy Schrubbe

Dr. Jeremy Krell

Director of Growth and Strategy

Jeremy is the Founder and CEO of a venture incubation firm, CEO in a Box. Prior to CEO in a Box, Jeremy has 12 years of experience as an entrepreneur, with three successful exits. Jeremy has a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Brandeis University and two graduate degrees (DMD - Tufts University, MBA expected 2016 - University of Chicago). He is a licensed and practicing dentist and serial entrepreneur.

Director of OSHA and Infection Control

Katherine Schrubbe, BSDH, MEd, PhD, is an adjunct professor at Marquette University School of Dentistry and Director of Quality Assurance for Dental Associates. With 30+ years in dental education, Schrubbe is a regular speaker of continuing education courses on infection control and Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations. She was the 2003 recipient of the American Association of Dental Research William B. Clark Award for Clinical Research.


Heather Mlodinow

Vice President, Operations and Finance

Heather heads up manufacturing operations and financial operations at Verena Solutions. In addition she is crafting the scale-up plan for SimpleCAP as well as launching of future Verena innovations. She is a serial entrepreneur and innovation executive. Her contributions led to successful exits at Knowledge Adventure (to Cendant), Mattel Media (to Mattel), CitySearch (to Ticketmaster), Agency.com's IPO, PwC iUnifi (to Mellon Bank),Overture (to Yahoo!) and Stochasto ASA (to Telenor Ventures). Her two sons currently run early stage companies.


Michael Carvajal

Director of Engineering

Michael is leading all engineering efforts, including the advancement of Verena’s product line as well as overseeing the execution of Verena's client-based projects. Michael has been developing novel products since graduating from MIT back in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Having heavily contributed to projects for clients in the medical industry, military field, and consumer space, he is constantly expanding his skill set and appetite for more knowledge.  Outside of designing physical solutions, Michael enjoys spending time in the cinema, dabbling in music production, traveling the world with his wife, and discovering new recipes to try out in the kitchen.

Dr. Eric Pulver

Director of Dental Integration

Is an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon in private practice at Pulver Oral Surgery and Dental Implant care in Highland, Indiana.  He graduated from the University of Toronto Dental School in 1989. He received his diploma in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago in 1995.  While remaining in private practice he has held teaching positions and at Northwestern Dental School, University of Chicago and Indiana University.  He has participated as an advisory and board member in a number of healthcare startups and has lectured extensively on various topics in dentistry and oral surgery.  He is currently working on a number of projects and takes pride in supporting the dental field to embrace best practices and technology that enhance patient outcomes.

Jim Mathes


Jim is an active Equity investor focusing on early stage companies in the Biomedical, Powergen and Real Estate markets. Prior to this Jim was an investor in and COO of ReGENCo which was successfully sold to Toshiba in 2010. He also spent 13 years in product development at Johnson Controls and is an graduate of University of Wisconsin (BBA) and Marquette University (MBA). Jim likes to take road trips and procure rare cheese and sausage from various parts of Wisconsin.

Brian Chambers


Brian is currently a principal and manager at Pamlico Capiltal, focusing on investment in the managed dental and medical practice markets. Prior to joining Pamlico Capital, Brian was a Principal at Beecken Petty O’Keefe and an Analyst at Piper Jaffray. Brian received a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Representative prior boards include D4C Dental Brands and Southern Anesthesia & Surgical.


Dr. John Tanner


John is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial and Facial Cosmetic Surgeon with 25 of years of surgery experience in the Kansas City area.  A graduate of Northwestern University School of Dentistry, John is an expert in the his field and how products cross over between dentistry and general medicine.  In addition, John sits on a number of boards and is very active in the educational community.
